When Wi-Fi Passwords Get Confusing Tempers Flare

Wi-Fi passwords are important. They should be strong and complex enough to thwart any prying hackers or war drivers from trying to access your network. While no password is really unhackable maintaining a strong one will keep hackers moving on to easier targets. It’s amusing to think of but the truth is many people still use simple easily hacked network passwords like (password).

These simple passwords are easy enough to remember but they’re a large reason why people are losing their private data to hackers. While you want to make your password complex and strong you also want to make it easy enough for users of your network to remember. But sometimes you can make things too simple and end up confusing those very users and when that happens, tempers flare as our friends from RocketJump demonstrate.

OK, that was pretty damn funny… I snorted anyway. Remember to create strong, complex yet simple passwords for your network that are easy for your users to remember. Just don’t confuse the hell out of them, or you might get a black eye.

How’s your workplace’s Wi-Fi password? Complex, strong yet simple? Or easily hackable and weak? Have you ever run into a network admin who’s passwords are confusing? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
