Google is known to be generous with their constant promotions and offers. Chromecast owners are constantly provided with free movie rentals; Google Music has free songs and albums; and just last month, buying something as small as a stick of gum with Android Pay would net you a Best Buy gift card. Well, Google is running another promotion for Android Pay that’s called Tap 10 and this one could get you a number of gifts including free songs and even a complimentary Chromecast.
The promotion runs until 11:59:59 p.m. PT on February 29, 2016. To participate you have to install the Android Pay app and add a valid credit card. At some point within the next week (give or take a few days) the Pay app should display an invite to the Tap 10 promotion.
Once you accept and sign, all you have to do is use your phone to tap and pay with the Android Pay app at any of the participating merchants. With each payment you should earn more and more rewards culminating with a free Chromecast dongle once you complete all ten. There are a few rules; like all purchases requiring a minimum of a 5 minute gap in between each, and strict limitations on using multiple email addresses to game the system for more freebies.
If you are already a user of Android Pay, keep checking the app for the promo invite mentioned above. It may also appear after the forthcoming app update, so don’t go buying everything in site just yet.
Android Pay adoption still has a long way to go but with all of these promotions it is clear that Google is no longer content on waiting for organic growth, and is aggressively looking to lure in more users.
Will this get you to use Android Pay more or are you still weary of mobile payments? Let us know in the comments below or on social media.Source: Android Pay
