If you haven’t heard of the Siam 7x dual screen smartphone don’t worry too much, because this is the first we’ve heard of it too. The Siam 7x is now available for purchase on the company’s website as well as Amazon for $549. What does $549 get you? Well, the main feature is the dual screen use, one regular 5″ full HD smartphone display on the front and a 4.7″ e-ink display on the back. But besides the dual screens the Siam 7x is boasting a whole list of goodies that some may find appealing, take a look.

  • Color display
  • e-ink display
  • Ear recognition unlock using Descartes Biometrics
  • SMS Audio
  • Biosport biometric monitoring powered by Intel
  • IR Blaster, use phone as remote
  • Lifetime warranty
  • Free upgrade to next model year
  • Dual sim
  • 16MP main camera with an 8MP front facing camera
  • 36 hours battery life

From what we can tell the Siam 7x will come with Android Lollipop so it’s coming out of the gate a bit outdated already. To be perfectly frank, most of this has already been done so it’s hard to see the value in the Siam 7x. The company offering a lifetime warranty, even covering accidental damage (which is also kind of hard to believe), as well as free upgrades to future models. With the amount of really great budget Android phones on the market today, it’s hard to see where the Siam 7x will grab traction. But one never knows, the 7x might offer something many people are looking for…
