COBBLE: Amplification For iPhone In A Small Package

|
,

COBBLE is aiming to bring high quality sound to your existing iPhone and add in a 3.5mm headphone jack for the next iPhone, rumored to lack a headphone jack. Amplifiers and DAC’s are well known for bringing the audio on devices to life. Using just your headphones doesn’t really get you the sound quality the music you’re listening to was recorded in. Products like COBBLE are designed to amplify the signal going to the headphones resulting in a much better sound experience. TEICNO, the company behind COBBLE, is hoping you’ll part with your money to get that sound experience in a very small package.

The company is also touting the future proof design of COBBLE, that is if the rumors hold true that the next iPhone will be without a 3.5mm headphone jack. If that is the case then TEICNO is ahead of the game here, you can still use all your favorite (already paid for) headphones through the COBBLE and lightning port of the iPhone. Not only will you get to keep your headphones but you’ll enhance the sound using the COBBLE amplifier.

As audio and video technology advance, streaming videos and music on mobile devices has become mainstream. However, most portable devices are not designed for streaming high quality sound. In the era of mobility, do you really want to carry a heavy amplifier around? No, and neither do we! COBBLE produces the same high definition sound as a heavy duty, high end amplifier, but it fits in the palm of your hand.

COBBLE also allows you to use your headphone’s built in microphone to answer calls, a feature lacking in some amplifiers on the market. If you think this might be right for you, check out their Kickstarter page at the link below. They’ve reached nearly $13,000 of their $18,000 goal with 22 days left to pledge.
