We’ve already talked about a couple of Acer’s announcements coming out of Computex 2016, and last, but certainly not least is a new mid-range smartphone that has features that seem to outpace its price tag. The Acer Liquid Zest Plus is a 5.5″ Android 6.0 smartphone with a 5000mAh battery, and camera features that will make any photographer proud.

How can we not start by talking about that gigantic 5000mAh battery? Acer claims their powerhouse will provide up to 3 days of usage, though of course your mileage may vary. Either way, that’s a lot of juice to power your gaming, chatting, photography, and everything else that we do with our phones these days. Once you do finally run out of battery, the Liquid Zest Plus will quick-charge up to 50% of the battery in under an hour. That ought to keep you going for quite some time.

The camera on the Liquid Zest Plus is a 13MP shooter, but that camera features some impressively fast focusing. The hybrid tri-focusing system is said to intelligently focus on various scenes in your viewfinder in as little as .03 seconds.  Phase detection auto-focusing (PDAF) handles bright daylight scenes, laser focusing takes care of dark scenes at short distances, and contrast detection auto-focusing (CDAF) allows you to capture subjects in low light. The Liquid Zest Plus also features a 5MP front facing camera with a wide 85-degree view, allowing you to get everybody in on your selfies. The camera app also features a “Pause N Shoot” selfie mode with automatic face detection, and a shake of the phone sets the timer for easy one-handed selfies with friends.

If that weren’t enough, the Acer Liquid Zest Plus can be used with dual-SIMS. It also features DTS-HD Premium Sound, FM radio, and Acer’s BluelightShield, which reduces blue light from the screen when you are trying to wind down for the day.

The Acer Liquid Zest Plus will be available in North America in July, starting at only $199. EMEA availability will also be in July with prices starting at €199.
