T-Mobile is offering an “epic summer deal” starting July 13th

It’s Tuesday, so you know what that means for T-Mobile — T-Mobile Tuesday! So go ahead and redeem your free items in time before their all used up by others. On top of all this, T-Mobile has announced a new promotion that might benefit customers who may be looking for another carrier. Starting tomorrow, July 13th, whether you’re a new customer getting four new lines or an existing customer looking to add more lines — up to 12 lines those with Family Match — to the current account with either 6GB or 10GB plans, you’ll be able to get a new Samsung device for the entire account.

“This is our best deal ever – a free Samsung Galaxy smartphone on us! And this is a lifeline for the carriers’ long-abused customers, who have got to be sick of the rate hikes, the restrictions and the carrier BS,” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile US. “We’ve found a better way to do wireless at the Un-carrier. That’s why T-Mobile customers are the most satisfied wireless customers in America!”

Going into more detail about the promotion, if you are choosing the 6GB plan all four lines will receive the Samsung On5 for free (taxes and any down payments are due upfront) and will receive a bill credit for each device (about $560 in credits altogether; full retail $140) for 24 months as long as the lines are active and in good standing. The usual pretty much.

Specs on the Samsung On5 are:

  • Android 5.1 Lollipop
  • 5 inch 720p display
  • Exynos 3475 quad core processor (1.3GHz)
  • 8GB storage, expandable up to 256GB
  • 1.5GB RAM
  • 8MP rear camera / 5MP front camera
  • 2600mAh battery

As for the 10GB plan, whether you get four new lines or add up to 12, you will receive the Samsung J7 for each line and will also receive bill credits (about $960 altogether; full retail $240) for each device for 24 months. The same thing counts for this data package too, the lines must be active and in good standing to receive the bill credits.

Specs on the Samsung J7:

  • Android 5.1 Lollipop (upgradable to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow)
  • 5.5 inch 720p display
  • Snapdragon 615 SoC (quad core 1.4GHz & quad core 1.0GHz)
  • 16GB storage, expandable up to 256GB
  • 1.5GB RAM
  • 13 MP rear camera / 5MP front camera with flash
  • 3000mAh battery

The catch to the device credits though is that the plan on all devices will need to stay on the current data feature for 24 months. If one line downgrades to a lower data feature (2GB), all lines on the account will lose out on the credit each month for the phones. That’s a bummer for those who may not even want that amount of data, but can’t win them all right?
