With it being the 20th anniversary of Pokémon, every month (since February) this year you have been given the opportunity to receive a legendary Pokémon if you own either Pokémon X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. As for the legendary pocket monsters they’re the ones that are hard to find in game or by an event, such as Mew, Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus.
With August being the month to get Arceus, you’ll need to stop into your local GameStop store and receive a scratch off card with a code to enter in the Pokémon games you have. But now there is another way to get the God Pokémon if you don’t have time to stop at GameStop. All you have to do when you load up to the start page before entering your last location, chose “mystery gift” and you’ll be taken to the next page. On that page, chose “receive gift,” and then “get with code.” As for the code you’ll be entering, it will be: THEGOD. Literally just like that. No spaces, nothing.
After Arceus has been downloaded, feel free to start up the game and head to the nearest PokéCenter and once inside stop by the lady in blue who will provide you with Arceus. By default this Pokémon is level 100 and a normal type and knows the moves, Hyper Beam, Judgement, Perish Song, and Recover. You have up until August 24th to claim him, so you’d better hurry up. Arceus can be used with all those different plates you have saved up in your bag. If you give Arceus a fire plate, his type will change to fire, give him a ghost plate and his type will be ghost, and so on.
Starting next month on September 1st through the 24th, you’ll be able to receive Victini the victory Pokémon, and we’ll be here to tell you how to get it. Have you already received your legendary Arceus yet? If you did, did you stop by your local GameStop or did you use the code mentioned above?
