If you’ve played Blizzard’s Overwatch, you’re familiar with the Awards and the ability to commend other players that appear at the end of each match. It turns out that you’ll soon be able to be the Heroes of the Storm MVP as Blizzard is bringing MVP status and Commendations to their popular MOBA in the next major update.
The MVP will automatically be rewarded based on match performance at the end of every match — excluding Custom matches. You don’t necessarily have to be on the winning team to earn the MVP title either as it will be based on how well you personally did during that match. While the idea of a match MVP might cause some to try and play with a more solo attitude, there will also be awards handed out at the end of each match for various accomplishments. Some examples include:
- Headhunter – Most Mercenary camps captured.
- Bulwark – Most damage taken by a Warrior Hero.
- Cannonneer – Most Core damage done on Towers of Doom.
- Moneybags – Most coins turned in on Blackheart’s Bay.
- Stunner – Longest combined Stun time against enemy Heroes.
In addition to the automatically dished out MVP status and awards, players will also be able to give a virtual thumbs-up and commend the MVP or one of the other award winners which will boost up that player and show that you support their accomplishments.
Look for MVP status, Awards, and Commendations to hit Heroes of the Storm with the next major update. Are you looking forward to being able to rise above the rest as the game MVP? Let us know in the comments below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.Source: Blizzard
