Huawei has been having a pretty good run, and today they announced the launch of the new Huawei nova series comprising of two new smartphones: nova and nova plus.

“Our designers have created beautiful devices that meet the needs of our increasingly demanding lifestyles,” commented Richard Yu, CEO, Huawei Consumer Business Group. “nova and nova plus deliver much more than customers might expect, but exactly what they deserve. These handsets will allow users to burn more brightly, to get the most out of each day and to enhance their lives with the best specifications and functionalities in the segment.”

Both the nova and nova plus were inspired by the bold curves seen in contemporary architecture, and feature contoured surfaces that join together seamlessly to deliver a tactile and visual experience that fits perfectly in users’ hands. The pair of smartphones will be available in Prestige Gold, Mystic Silver, and Titanium Grey. The nova series boasts a battery lifespan of up to two days, balancing performance and longer standby times for a longer lasting phone between chargers.

Huawei focused primarily on the camera functionality of the Huawei nova and nova plus, and the fingerprint sensor can be personalized to control many of the functions on the phone, including photography.
