Lenovo was busy in the the hours before IFA officially launched in Berlin. We’ve already shown you the Miix 510 Windows detachable laptop/tablet hybrid as well as the Lenovo Yoga Book, which drew attention because of its virtual keyboard and Create Pad. With those announcements, a more “traditional” laptop might seem boring, but the Lenovo Yoga 910 is anything but boring. With a thin design, Lenovo’s iconic watchband hinge, and beefy specs this is definitely a laptop to watch.
I’m just going to say this up front: Lenovo should put that watchband hinge on everything. Laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, everything… I don’t even care if the device doesn’t actually have a hinge, or need anything to bend, that hinge looks amazing. Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let’s continue.
The Yoga 910 is just over a half-inch thick, and weighs just over three pounds. Wrapped up in the unibody metal design is some impressive hardware. You can choose from either a Full HD (1920×1080) or 4K (3840 x 2160) display. My only concern there is that huge resolution would be powered by integrated Intel graphics. The rest of the hardware is equally crazy though: up to an i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB SSD storage, USB-C charging, and a fingerprint scanner powered by Windows Hello.
You’ll be able to get your hands on the Yoga 910 in October, with prices starting at $1299USD.
