If you haven’t watched or listened to Apple’s iPhone 7 event yesterday, then you missed the CEO of Niantic Labs, John Hanke letting everyone know that Pokémon GO will now be able to work on your Apple Watch. He also let everyone there know that the long awaited Pokémon GO Plus accessory will finally be making its way to most countries for purchase on September 16th with some South American countries following later in the year.
As I’ve mentioned above, Pokémon GO Plus is an accessory that works by Bluetooth and will pair to your smartphone (Android or iOS) and will allow you to keep your phone in your pocket the entire time and catch Pokémon and hit up PokéStops to get items with just a tap of the button on the item. Basically, the way that the GO Plus works when connected to your handset, if you encounter a Pokémon or a Pokémon is nearby, the item will start to vibrate and light up. Once that starts happening, you just tap the button and then go on with your day. It works the same way when you reach a PokéStop. Just tap the button and walk away. If you want to see which Pokémon or items you have gotten along the way, just pull up the app on your device and check your journal.
Pokémon GO Plus will cost $34.99USD, so with it being a low price, it shouldn’t be that much of a problem for one to purchase. But on the other hand, hopefully it doesn’t fly off the shelves when it comes out.
It’s awesome that we’ll finally be able to purchase this little guy, so if you’re still playing Pokémon GO, do you plan on getting the GO Plus so you won’t have to keep track of your phone at all times?
