A Final Fantasy XV Audi?

Final Fantasy XV is fast approaching its current release date of the 29th of November 2016. The game has been in varying forms of development for close to 10 years now, starting its life as a spinoff title for the PS3 system under the working title of Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

As with any piece of entertainment that is close to its release date, Square Enix has ramped up marketing and promotion of the newest title in the long-running series. A rather odd, and out of left field choice, is a collaboration with Audi to release a limited edition Audi R8. This R8’s design is based on the vehicle that appeared in Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, the CGI animated movie released to tie-in with the video game.

The car itself is incredibly gorgeous, and a one of a kind vehicle unlike any other I have seen. The black paintwork in combination with the metallic leaf inspired trim is nothing short of captivating, the car itself oozes performance and style. It is safe to say that I would have no hesitation driving this bad boy around town, the car is quite the head turner, and I can only imagine that thanks to Audi’s german engineering, that the engine under the hood is just as breathtaking.

“The Audi R8 Star of Lucis” is priced at around 50,000,015 yen ($468,714USD). The car is limited to only 1 unit which cannot be bought outright, and instead, Audi Japan is holding a raffle to give you the chance to purchase this one of a kind vehicle. Individuals who may be interested are eligible to enter the raffle starting on November 21st at 10:00am Japanese local time.

What do you think of the vehicle? Would you purchase this to drive around in if you had the money? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below or on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
