First teased back at E3, Telltale Games has finally unveiled the release date for The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier. The series sees the return of one of the main characters from the first two seasons, Clementine, as well as a new character called Javier.
When family is all you have left… how far will you go to protect it? Four years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.
Originally slated for release in November, the first episode from the five episode season will be available on Tuesday, December 20th for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Android, and iOS devices. As a bonus for PlayStation 4 users who preorder the digital version, those who do preorder will snag a free copy of The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: Michonne. PC users can preorder as well on Steam and save 10% on the entire season.
A “Season Pass Disc” for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be available on February 7th and will contain the first episode as well as a season pass to access the remaining four episodes as they become available.
An extended first look at the game will be unveiled live during the upcoming The Game Awards on December 1st.
