As we approach the end of 2016 and enter the mad rush that is the Christmas season, companies have begun to roll out their always on cue annual Christmas specials for their various products. Sony being no stranger to this, has revealed their Australian PlayStation Store specials for the holiday season.

First up, the 12 deals of Christmas sale where every 48 hours a new and exciting title is heavily discounted on the PlayStation store for consumers. The first deal gave gamers the chance to purchase the excellent action game Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration at a bargain price. Rise of the Tomb Raider is the follow up to surprisingly well received 2013 reboot, Tomb Raider. Both titles in the new series completely revitalized the fading star of Lara Croft and her many adventures to gamers, catapulting the character back the top of the badass female video game character chain.

Deal number 2 now gives shoppers the opportunity to purchase Fallout 4 , another fantastic title released earlier this year, for the extremely low price of $30.95 AUD. If you have not experienced this title, then there is simply no better time to purchase it and explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland with your trusty K-9 by your side.

The Australian PlayStation store is also running another special parallel to the 12 deals of Christmas until the 25th of December for a range of games, the titles listed below are now ‘buy one, get one free’ for the PS4 system (NOTE: links below will only work in Australia):

It remains to be seen what other titles will be released through the PlayStation store as the 10 remaining 48-hour deals, if the first two are anything to go by, then I can safely assume the following titles will likely be just as amazing.

What are your thoughts on the specials Sony has released? Will you be purchasing any of the titles mentioned above to help see you through the holiday break? Let us know in the comments section below or on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
