Our phones are increasingly used as an entertainment device for children, and that can often lead to some embarrassing or costly slip-ups. If your kids are using your phone chances are good you don’t want them having free reign over the device. Sure, if they’re old enough they can probably get around most safeguards better than even you can, but for a few years at least, they’ll be at the mercy of whatever you place in front of them. The Incipio Kiddy Lock Case was announced today at CES 2017, and it offers parents a way to completely block access to the home button on their iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
The Kiddy Lock case features a sliding cover and secure latch that keeps small fingers away from your home button. Once latched in place, it will be difficult for young children to bypass the locking mechanism. Again, past a certain age it will be less effective, but this should at least prevent accidental home button access for a few years.
Aside from the home button lock cover, the Incipio Kiddy Lock case has other attractive features for the parent who gives up their iPhone to the kids. You’ll find an integrated kickstand on the back allowing hands-free viewing for movies. The case also features a raised bezel to protect your screen. The case is also durable and rugged with drop-diffusion material technology.
