With CES 2017 in full swing, D-Link continues to unveil new tech, this time with its first HomeKit enabled camera. The Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310), will kick off D-Link’s HomeKit family. Tying into Apple’s Home app (available on iOS 10.1 and up), you’ll be able to set up the camera quickly and easily with the benefit of rich notifications on the lock screen.

The camera itself starts recording directly to a 128GB microSD card as soon as it senses movement, comes with night vision and has a 180-degree field of view. We have the full press release for you below and be sure to keep it locked here for all your CES 2017 news.

New D-Link® Omna™ 180 Cam HD Supports Apple’s Smart Home Ecosystem

INTERNATIONAL CES, LAS VEGAS – Jan. 5, 2017 — D-Link today introduced the new Omna™ 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310), the Apple HomeKit enabled camera. The first in D-Link’s Omna family of HomeKit enabled devices, the Omna 180 Cam HD provides an easy way for users to monitor their home for extra peace of mind.

With an elegant, modern design, the Omna 180 Cam HD offers a comprehensive 180-degree field of view to monitor an entire room and Full HD 1080p video quality for crystal clear surveillance. The HomeKit enabled camera includes advanced security features with end-to-end encryption and authentication between the camera and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. AppleHomeKit technology also allows users to set up the 180 Cam HD within seconds, in just a few simple steps via the Apple Home app in iOS 10.1. Users can also get rich notifications on the lock screen of their iPhone or iPad via the Home app, showing a snapshot of what’s happening in their home when motion is detected. In addition, via HomeKit, the Omna 180 Cam HD can work seamlessly with other Home kit enabled devices including triggering scenes when motion is detected.

Omna’s HomeKit integration allows users to be “always home.” Seeing everything through your iOS device offers extra peace of mind – keeping an eye on your baby in the nursery, checking on an elderly relative, watching your dog in the living room, or helping ensure homes are safe while on vacation.
