Halo Wars 2 Seagate Game Drive coming this month

After releasing a themed Gears of War 4 Game Drive for Xbox, Seagate’s collaboration continues with Xbox and the newly announced Halo Wars 2 Special Edition Portable Drive for the Xbox One and Xbox One S. We recently had the chance to review the Seagate HDD and SSD Game Drives for Xbox, and were especially impressed with the performance of the SSD version.

Like the Xbox branded version of the HDD Game Drive, the Halo Wars 2 Special Edition Portable drive stores more than 50 Xbox games (dependant on game size), has easy plug-and-play functionality, compact size for taking your game library wherever you go, and USB 3.0 speeds. This special edition Game Drive for Xbox features Atriox, “warlord of the banished and fearsome villian,” printed on the outer enclosure — just in time for the release of Halo Wars 2 next week.

Developed in collaboration with Microsoft and 343 Industries, the drive will ship later this month with an MSRP of $99.99USD in limited quantities — once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The Seagate Game Drives can be set up quickly by plugging it into an Xbox One or Xbox One S console. The console detects the drive and walks gamers through setting it up. With its USB 3.0 speeds, you’ll be gaming just as fast, if not slightly faster, than games installed on the internal Xbox One hard drives.
