Music is a huge part of our lives. Just listening to some of our favorite tunes can improve our mood or transport us to another place or time. Grace Digital is a company that understands the varying ways that people access their music, and today they’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Mondo+ speaker. The Grace Digital Mondo+ is an internet radio that not only has Chromecast Audio support but will handle your music in nearly any way you can dish it out.

The Mondo+ is an Internet Radio that will connect to nearly anything that plays audio. You can connect via Bluetooth 4.1, tune in to one of the 30,000+ pre-programmed radio stations from around the world, plug in a USB drive and the Mondo+ will pull audio files from there, cast via integrated Chromecast Audio, heck, you can even plug via the AUX port if you’re so inclined. With Google Home and Google Assistant, you can even control your music via voice commands. Combine all of those options with multi-room audio support, integrated 7-day alarm clock, and available battery pack and you’ll be able to take your Mondo+ almost anywhere and listen to almost anything.

All of those connections don’t do you any good if the speaker doesn’t sound good. Grace Digital prides themselves on the sound that the Mondo+ is able to achieve. They’ve integrated MaxxAudio technology from Waves Inc. which they say gives Mondo+ room-filling sound on par with speakers from companies like Bose and Polk Audio. For anyone interested, the speakers have the following specifications:

  • High powered class D digital 12-watt amplifier
  • Custom 3” woofer and 1” tweeter speaker drivers
  • Additional Specs: 89db S/N ratio; 60Hz – 20Hz ±3dB

The Kickstarter campaign is live now, and if you’re one of the first 100 backers you can in on the super early bird special which will get you a Mondo+ for $125USD, which is $75 off of the expected retail price. Early bird pricing is set at $150, while early bird with the optional battery pack is $174. If you don’t get in on any of the early bird specials, you can still get your Mondo+ for $25 off the MSRP.
