Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer 2 hits the internet

Superhero movies are a hot commodity these days and the studios are churning them out as fast as possible. Sony and Marvel Studios just dropped trailer 2 for Spider-Man: Homecoming and it looks fantastic. As with pretty much every superhero movie there is always a raging debate on how things should be done or how good a movie was. The Spider-Man franchise has had its ups and downs, particularly because Sony owns the rights to the character. Previous Spider-Man movies didn’t work cohesively with Marvel’s cinematic universe but that changes this year with Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Now that Sony and Marvel are finally cooperating, Spider-Man can be drawn into the Marvel fold and Tony Stark’s appearance in this film is just the tip of the iceberg. We’re hoping for a long-term cooperation between the two studios so one of Marvel’s key characters can be included in many other films. One thing that hit me on this trailer was Michael Keaton as The Vulture. I think he was a great choice for this role and I think his performance could be one of the great Marvel villain performances ever. Of course, that remains to be seen.

After watching the disappointing trailer for Justice League over the weekend, it’s nice to see something worth getting excited for. Now, let’s hope Marvel and Sony actually deliver on the goodness of this trailer.
