CRDC essential oil diffuser review: A small diffuser that’s perfect for travel

It was just a few short months ago that my wife approached me about using an essential oil diffuser and I scoffed at the idea. My first thought was even the idea of an essential oil diffuser was a hipster fad and I wanted no part of it. I fought my wife on ordering her first essential oil diffuser, and I obviously lost that battle. Long story short, I loved the essential oil diffuser she purchased and we’ve since purchased two others. So when CRDC offered to send us their small diffuser, I jumped at it. Read on for the full review of the CRDC essential oil diffuser.

The CRDC essential oil diffuser has the following features and specifications:

  • 4 Time Modes – 1H/ 2H/ 3H/ On. The diffuser will stop working automatically when it reaches the time setting.
  • Aroma Diffuser – Send fragrance into the environment wherever you are in working or leisure with your favorite essential oils.
  • Safe Operation – It will automatically shut off when the unit tilts or there is little water inside to keep safe if you are out or asleep.
  • Air Humidifier – Humidify your living space to prevent dry, stuffy air and germs by adding water molecules in dry days, purifying the air.
  • Separate Function – MIST/LIGHT button works separately or together. Time Mist/Continuous Mist/Night Light. Multiple colors, steady on or changing in turn.

What’s In The Box

  • CRDC diffuser
  • Power supply
  • Measuring cup

The measuring cup is a nice addition.

Let’s get the first thing out of the way here, the CRDC diffuser is small. While this could be used as a main diffuser, I really think of this diffuser as a travel diffuser. The whole unit is made of plastics, they don’t feel super premium but they aren’t shoddy either. The main portion of the body is made to look like wood and it gives a convincing performance in that department.

The controls on the side are pretty self-explanatory, especially if you’ve used a diffuser before. You have the mist and the light button and the mist function gives you up to 3-hours of operation time. 3-hours may not be enough for some and this is why I think this diffuser is better suited for travel. The capacity isn’t huge so don’t expect more than the 3-hours here.

Overall this is a nice design and a pretty solid build quality.

Ease of Use

Diffusers are easy to use if you’ve used one before this one will be very familiar to you. If you haven’t used a diffuser before, you simply need to fill the reservoir with distilled water up to the max level. CRDC has included a measuring cup so you don’t overfill the reservoir, which I thought was a nice touch. Once you have your water in, just add 3-5 drops of your favorite essential oil, replace the top, and turn it on. Easy as that.

Easy for travel use.

This diffuser will literally only give you 3-hours of operation time. If you absolutely need more than that, this isn’t the diffuser for you. The CRDC diffuser also doesn’t have a huge output so it’s better suited to the bedside or a small room. This is why I think it works perfect for travel, its small size makes it easy to pack and it works well in a small hotel room.

Normally priced at $50.99USD the CRDC essential oil diffuser is currently on Amazon for $29.99USD. I think the $30 price point is a good price for this diffuser, any higher and I would think twice. Even better, CRDC has offered a discount code for our users. Simply enter the coupon code CRDC1067 at checkout for an extra 40% off, bringing the total price down to $17.99USD. The coupon code expires on 5/31/2017, so you’ll want to act fast.

Wrap Up
