Get up to two months of free Xbox Game Pass access with Seagate Game Drive for Xbox

With the Xbox Game Pass subscription service now available for everyone, Seagate has launched the Seagate Game Drive for Xbox Special Edition. The Special Edition Seagate Game Drive comes with one or two months of free Xbox Game Pass access, depending on if you purchase the 2TB or 4TB version. While you can sign up for a free two-week trial of the new service, if you need to pick up an external hard drive for extra game storage, why not snag a Seagate Game Drive for Xbox Special Edition and try out the Xbox Game Pass at no cost for a month or two?

We’ve reviewed the Seagate Game Drive in the past and found that even the HDD version (which the Special Edition drive is) had minor performance gains over using the internal Xbox One hard drive. The 4TB version will be able to store 100 or more games (based on 35-50GB average game size), and with the number of Backward Compatibility titles currently in the Xbox Game Pass, you’re sure to be able to store even more.

The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox Special Edition comes in white and complements the Xbox One S. Simply plug it into an available USB port on your Xbox One and you will be guided through the formatting and setup process. Once you’re set up and have games installed on it, you can unplug it, toss it in your backpack, and take it over to a friend’s house and play your games without having to redownload them once you sign in on their Xbox One console.

The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox Special Edition will be available this month at select Seagate resellers. The 2TB version has an MSRP of $89.99USD and includes a one-month Xbox Game Pass membership. The 4TB version has an MSRP of $129.99USD and includes a two-month Xbox Game Pass membership.
