The day is finally coming! The debut of the Netflix Original series Marvel’s The Punisher! If you’re a comic book fan you know the significance of The Punisher character. Unlike most comic book heroes, The Punisher has no powers but is simply just a man. The character has gone through some massaging over the years and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 in 1974. He really gained a bigger following in the 80’s when his own series debuted and the character was more developed.
The most appealing thing about Frank Castle is his everyday man status. Here’s a guy fighting crime with guns, knives, and fists. No super powers, no super anything. His status as anti-hero is also something highly appealing. The Punisher isn’t like Spider-Man or Superman, he is judge, jury, and executioner. So it will be interesting to see how Netflix writes this series and how true to the books they stay. Take a look at the Netflix teaser below!

Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
Netflix’s Marvel’s The Punisher is set to debut this year but no month was given in the press release. The teaser looks amazing and we’re certainly excited to see this come to Netflix. The Defenders is getting mixed reviews from users but we sure hope this series lives up to the hype. Only time will tell once it is released.
