Elon Musk, the CEO of not only Tesla and The Boring Company, but also SpaceX has provided us with an image on his Instagram account of the futuristic spacesuit designed for SpaceX astronauts. Not only that, but more details will come within the next few days.

Musk was definitely one to let people know that the SpaceX spacesuit is not a mockup, but the real deal and actually works due to it being tested to double vacuum pressure, although it “was incredibly hard to balance aesthetics and function.” The SpaceX suit is only meant for astronauts who will be riding in the Dragon Capsule when it launches people to and from the ISS (International Space Station). Even though the suits are pressurized, they are not meant to be used for spacewalks, so don’t expect some NASA astronauts to be walking on the Moon or Mars in these suits anytime soon.

It is expected if holds true, that in 2018 NASA will send people into space, but SpaceX will be sending two lucky folks to the moon and back at some point. With this suit showing up from Musk, those two space buddies could be using this new space suit during launch. What do you guys think about the awesome looking design of the SpaceX suit? What other details do you think Musk will have to tell us? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
