Harley Quinn is getting her own animated series

Harley Quinn has always been a big character in the Batman franchise but has become more well-known thanks to last years hit film Suicide Squad. Harley will be getting her own 26-episode adult animated series that will be coming out sometime in the near future when DC launches their own streaming service. This will be the third show to launch on the streaming service alongside the live action show Titans and animated Young Justice: Outsiders.

Executive producers Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey (creators of Powerless) will be leading the series that will star Harley Quinn doing her own thing in Gotham City with friend Poison Ivy and has cut all ties with the Joker. Other noteworthy characters will make appearances in the show too. Executives are hoping to get Margot Robbie, who played Quinn in Suicide Squad to voice this Harley Quinn too, but that’s up in the air at the moment. The development artwork above was created by Amanda Connor, but DC states that it may not take this approach for final animation along with the cast.

This art may not make the final cut of the show.

With Harley Quinn becoming so popular, a spin-off movie of her and Joker’s love life will be coming out staring Margot Robbie and another animated Batman movie is also in the works.

It’s cool to see other DC characters getting their own TV show to bring up more popularity, so with Harley having her own series, it should be a pretty good show to watch alongside the new live action Titans show.
