Google Plus is aware of porn spam and are working on fixing it

Yesterday I wrote an editorial addressing the problem of porn spam on social media site Google Plus. I think we can all agree that the problem will never completely go away. Spammers will find ways to infiltrate the system and post the nonsense they post. But over the past few weeks, the problem of porn spam on Google Plus has become a topic of conversation and I added my thoughts in the best way I could, in an editorial.

While we have not “officially” heard from anyone on the Google Plus team or Google themselves. We have had reliable contacts reach out and assure us that the Google Plus team is aware of the problem and are actively working on it.  Robert Wallis is a Google Plus product expert and advocate, he reached out publically on Twitter with this comment.

I’ve also had other trusted contacts reaching out to me to confirm Wallis’s sentiments that Google is making this a priority. I was given no other information other than to hang tight and know that work is being done to combat the problem. While I was given no information beyond my contacts word, I have no reason not to believe that the Google Plus team is working on a solution. So now it’s a waiting game to see what the team is actually doing and when it will be implemented. Hopefully, the fix is coming soon.

What do you think of the porn spam problem on Google Plus? Do you think Google is making it a priority to address the issue? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
