The “Curse of Osiris” expansion came out a few days ago for Destiny 2, so everyone has been playing that and getting their levels up and grinding as much as possible. So far, it’s been pretty good learning more about Destiny lore and what it all entails. Xur is back with more exotics and he’s even offering the newest exotic from the “Curse of Osiris” expansion, Prometheus Lens. If you’re looking for Xur, you’ll find him over at the Winding Cove fast travel point at the EDZ.
What is Xur selling this weekend?
- Prometheus Lens (Trace Rifle) – 29 Legendary Shards
- MK. 44 Stand Asides (Leg Armor) for Titan Class – 23 Legendary Shards
- The Dragon’s Shadow (Chest Armor) for Hunter Class – 23 Legendary Shards
- Nezarec’s Sin (Helmet) for Warlock Class – 23 Legendary Shards
Weapon: Prometheus Lens
With this being the newest exotic from the “Curse of Osiris” expansion, it’s a great gun to use in PVP as it’ll deal a massive amount of damage to the enemy. While it may be bugged at the moment, it’s still a great weapon to use with its Prismatic Inferno perk causing the beam to grow the longer you hold down the trigger button. Also with the Flame Refraction perk, that allows kills to return ammo back into the magazine. That means with both of the perks, you can deal great damage and have your gun reload with each kill you’re awarded.
Titan Gear: MK. 44 Stand Asides (Leg Armor)
These exotic boots aren’t necessarily new, but they were brought back with the “Curse of Osiris.” Its main perk — Seriously, Watch Out — grants an overshield when sprinting at full health with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped. Hits with these abilities recharge a portion of your melee energy.
Hunter Gear: The Dragon’s Shadow (Chest Armor)
It’s not the greatest Hunter exotic, but it’ll help out if you like dodging enemies. The Wraithmetal Mail perk gives Hunters a speed bonus and extra weapon handling when they dodge. The downside is, this is only useful in PVP.
Warlock Gear: Nezarec’s Sin (Helmet)
This isn’t the first time this exotic has been offered by Xur, but nonetheless, it’s still around to stay. If you run Void subclass and have this helmet, you’ll like the main perk — Abyssal Extractors — which causes Void damage kills to recharge your energy.
As always, these exotic items have a power level of 305 (base 300 with +5 mod) so for those with a lower power level than most, this should help you out.
