Narcos Season 4 is on the way in 2018 and both Michael Peña and Diego Luna will be on board. Netflix announced today that Michael Peña (Crash, American Hustle) and Diego Luna (Rogue One, Y Tu Mamá También) will star in the upcoming fourth season of Narcos. Production recently began on the new season in Mexico City, Mexico, which is only fitting as season four will be set in Mexico. The casting announcement and location were confirmed today.
This will be an interesting season as the original characters and cast members will not be the focus. Pedro Pascal and of course Wagner Moura have both become synonymous with Narcos so it will be interesting to see where Netflix takes the story. It will be even more interesting to see how Peña and Luna play their roles. If you follow me on social media you’ll know how much I’ve enjoyed Narcos and I hope Netflix can continue the story without damaging it.
Netflix also has El Chapo season 1 and season 2 available to watch. That series looks to have been a Univision series but it’s still worth a watch if you liked Narcos at all. I probably shouldn’t mention CHiPS but I really liked Peña’s performance in that film among the many others he’s been in and Luna in Rouge One was excellent. I like both Michael Peña and Diego Luna as actors and am hoping they’ll deliver us stellar performances for Narcos season 4. I’m just hoping the story is there and not burned out as can happen with shows after multiple seasons.
