The first expansion for Destiny 2, “Curse of Osiris” has been out since the 7th of December and it introduced to us another character and his ghost in the Destiny lore. We know another expansion is coming out sometime next year, but there hasn’t been a name for it. That was before it was mistakenly posted in the PlayStation Store and has since been removed, but we now know the name of the next DLC will be “Gods of Mars.” The PlayStation Store had the description of the game which you can read below.
Destiny 2 Expansion II: Gods of Mars sends your Guardian on a long journey to a brand new destination – the Frigid Vale of Mars, with an array of new missions, adventures, and enemies to fight. Charlemagne has reawoken on Mars and has imprisoned Rasputin within an ancient vault. Work with the elusive Ana Bray – long thought to be dead, in order to combat Charlemagne’s Remnants, free Rasputin, and uncover the secrets of Clovis Bray.
What we can tell so far from the just this small amount of information is that we will be dealing with Mars again and what Clovis Bray has in store for guardians. Ana Bray (Hunter), will need our help getting Rasputin back. It’s already sounding familiar since we had to help Osiris against the Vex, but we get to see another guardian who was thought to be long gone. With a new expansion coming out, supposedly in March 2018, we will see new gear, armor, guns, arenas in the crucible, and more. Hopefully, Bungie will fix some issues users have been dealing with since the “Curse of Osiris” has been out.
