TV ADDONS teases “grand plans moving forward”

Last year wasn’t an easy one for Kodi, and even more difficult for TV ADDONS, one of its main repositories of Kodi addons, due to lawsuits. In a recent post on TVADDONS.co, their new domain, the company outlined its key achievements and battles over the last six years and teased something for the future.

We have grand plans moving forward. We’re almost ready to introduce a new generation of Kodi addons that will change the way people access streaming media forever! Expect the release of these addons in the coming weeks, along with our return to a standard addon submission policy which will once again foster innovation while remaining 100% DMCA compliant.

Kodi has come a long way since it’s XBMC days and TV ADDONS has been there right alongside them for the past six years in one form or another. Of course, the rise of “fully loaded Kodi boxes” painted a huge target on both Kodi and organizations like TV ADDONS. Last year, TV ADDONS had their domains and social media accounts seized as part of a move by a group of Canadian telecom companies. Even though a judge ruled in TV ADDONS favour, due to an appeal that is holding things up in court, the home for unofficial Kodi addons had to start over with a new domain name but have far from given up.

It’ll be interesting to see what they have in store over the coming weeks and how they plan to stay DMCA compliant when a lot of addons available for Kodi make it easy to stream illegal content.

What do you think about TV ADDONS’ recent legal troubles? What “grand plans” do you think they’ll be unveiling soon? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
