Where is Xur and what is he selling? January 5 – 9th edition

Gaming / PC / PlayStation / Xbox

By now you should know all of Xur’s locations by heart.

By now, Everyone should be up to date on gear and whatnot from the latest event. The Dawning event is almost over as it ends next week Tuesday, January 9th. We’re not here to talk about The Dawning though, we’re here to look for Xur and see what kind of exotic gear he’s selling this week.

Xur is over at the Giant’s Scar spawn point on Io. You can track him if need be, otherwise, by now you should know all of his locations by heart and can get to them easily. Read on to see what Xur is offering this week.

What is Xur selling this weekend?

  • Fated Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
  • Merciless (Fusion Rifle) – 29 Legendary Shards
  • Mask of the Quiet One (Helmet) for Titan Class – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Gauntlets) for Hunter Class – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Wings of Sacred Dawn (Chest Armor) for Warlock Class – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Three of Coins – 31 Legendary Shards

Weapon: Merciless Rifle

Probably one of the best exotics you can purchase in Destiny 2, the Merciless Fusion Rifle is definitely something you should pick up. Its Conserve Momentum perk allows the charge rate to be faster for every non-lethal kill plus, it’ll do very well against bosses in Nightfalls and Raids.

Titan Gear: Mask of the Quiet One (Helmet)

Mask of the Quiet One is worth picking up as it offers the ability to give you melee, grenade, and class ability energy when damaged. This helmet also grants the ability to regenerate health with void kills.

Hunter Gear: Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Gauntlet)

Young Ahamkara’s Spine main perk Wish-Dragon Teeth will increase the duration of your Hunter’s trip mine grenades and mark any enemies that have been hit by it. This exotic works well in PVP, but won’t help you as much as the Foetracer exotic will that does the same thing, marking enemies.

Warlock Gear: Wings of Sacred Dawn (Chest armor)

Wings of Sacred Dawn is good to have if you use the Dawnblade subclass. The Tome of Dawn perk will suspend you in midair letting you aim down sight and kill enemies and every precision kill you get, you stay in the air for the duration of this effect.

As always, these exotic items have a power level of 305 (base 300 with +5 mod) so for those with a lower power level than most, this should help you out.

Do you guys plan on getting anything from Xur this weekend? You’ll have until Tuesday to pick up some stuff this time. Let us know what you grab by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+Twitter, or Facebook.
