KFC customers in India will be able to order chicken wings in a quadcopter box

The drone has been dubbed the KFO but as mentioned will be very limited, even in India.

I don’t know about you but when I go to KFC I can’t stop thinking about quadcopters. I mean, who hasn’t had that thought. I want to get a box of chicken wings and have that same box be used as a quadcopter! Well, KFC India is in your head because now (for a limited time) you can get exactly that. Of course, this is part of a huge marketing campaign in India but it’s sort of fun too. The drone has been dubbed the KFO but as mentioned will be very limited, even in India. You will have a chance to get one on January 25th and January 26th at select locations only — and only when — you order their new Smokey Grilled Wings.

No word on the exact locations these little box drones will be offered at but we do have a few areas of India you can hunt them down at. Locations in Bangalore, Gurgaeon, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigrah, Pune, and Kochi will be part of this promotion but you’ll have to narrow down which physical location they’ll be at.

The box the Smokey Wings come in will also come with all the parts you need to build the quadcopter. Once you have your tiny chicken scented quadcopter built, you’ll be able to launch it and control it via an Android or iOS app. My guess is this little guy is probably going to best used indoors as any small gust of wind will topple it for sure. No word if this promotion will come to the United States. It’s probably not likely as I’m sure this little marketing stunt is costing KFC a pretty penny in India, so the cost in the U.S. would probably be much higher. At any rate, it’s a fun little promo for India!
