Hey hey, Marvel fans! A new trailer has dropped from Marvel Studios. This time it’s for Ant-Man and the Wasp. I’ll be the first to say, I wasn’t too thrilled with the first Ant-Man movie and I’m not a fan of Paul Rudd in the role. Don’t get me wrong, I like Rudd in movies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, This is 40, and the Wet Hot American Summer TV series.
I just wasn’t very impressed with his performance in the Ant-Man role. I didn’t think he transitioned well into the role like Chris Pratt did for Guardians of the Galaxy or Ryan Reynolds did for Deadpool. Maybe I’m wrong though and maybe Ant-Man and the Wasp will prove me wrong. But I’ll admit, it’s not Rudd that’s making me take notice of this film. No, it’s Evangeline Lilly that caught my eye.
Lilly is a seasoned actress but her role as Tauriel in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies impressed me so I was excited to see her as Wasp in this movie. But enough of my pontificating, check out the new trailer below and join me after the break.
If you noticed, as I did, Marvel Studios thinks enough of Lilly to use her in the thumbnail of their video. As with most trailers, there’s just not enough for me to really say this is going to be a great film, but I will most likely watch it. The effects look spectacular and the story looks interesting, now we just wait until we can actually see the whole thing. Marvel’s been doing really well lately so hopefully this continues the trend.
