As is often the routine before big game releases, the company in charge releases the specifications needed to run their game on a PC. Rare has just released the Sea of Thieves PC specs and the game ” is perfectly playable at 540p” on systems with integrated graphics. Of course, Rare also promises “the best looking #GreatWater” on systems capable of 4K/60fps output.

While the 540p “target” is below Rare’s minimum specifications for running Sea of Thieves on a PC, they do also mention that being an Xbox Play Anywhere title, you can take full advantage of the title on your Xbox One if you own a lower end laptop or PC.

Our rendering team set themselves the goal early on of “how low can we go,” sometimes also referred to fondly as “getting the game running on a potato”, which is why we want to deliver a great version of the game even for those with computers below our official minimum spec.

As a result, Rare has released six different configurations: Below Min Spec, Minimum, Recommended, and Extreme, with two more sandwiched between the latter three. Check out their full graphic below, and in case you’re on a smaller device skip past and we’ll have the full specifications in plain text for your perusal after.
