Anyone who downloads and plays the game can earn double XP as well as get a free card pack each day they log in until March 2nd.

Afer spending seven months in Early Access, Fable Fortune, the CCG (collectible card game) based on the Fable universe has finally been released and is free-to-play for all for Xbox One and PC. In addition, until March 2nd, anyone who downloads and plays the game can earn double XP as well as get a free card pack each day they log in.

Players can team up and take on challenge bosses or go head to head as one of six heroes with unique powers and cards. A single player mode also exists and allows players to experience the stories that shape the various heroes in the game. Those familiar with Fable will be glad to hear the game builds on the good and evil choices which empower or change your hero’s abilities. Completing quests allow players to upgrade their powers for that match as well as earn extra cards.

“We’re really proud of what we’ve created in Fable Fortune,” said Paul Croft, co-founder of Mediatonic. “Our time in Early Access/Game Preview allowed us to grow and evolve the game into a really tight, polished experience. We think Fortune‘s mix of deep strategy with choice and consequence gives a new twist on the genre, and fans of the series will love this chance to return to the beloved Fable universe.”

Daily quests also give players the ability to earn free card packs. Card packs can also be purchased for in-game silver and there is also a starter set available for purchase for those who want to get a head start.

As mentioned above, the latest CCG to hit the market is available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title for the Xbox One and through the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. The game is also available on Steam.
