With Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2 hitting Netflix on Thursday, it’s only fitting the streaming service announced the start of Marvel’s Luke Cage Season 2. That date is June 22nd, so you’ll have to wait a few months before catching Mike Colter as the title character in action — although it is possible he may make a brief appearance in Jessica.

Can’t burn him. Can’t blast him. Can’t break him. Season Two of Marvel’s #LukeCage premieres June 22 on Netflix.

As one of Marvel’s Defenders alongside Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, Mike Colter stars as the titular Luke Cage. The first season also starred Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard, Rosario Dawson, Mustafa Shakir, and Mahershala Ali, among others and it’ll be interesting to see who else returns alongside Colter for the second season.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

With Marvel’s Luke Cage coming out in June, when do you think we’ll be seeing the third season of Marvel’s Daredevil? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.
