Durabook U11 tablet wants to fit all of your rugged needs

Press Releases

The Durabook U11 is geared towards police and military work, where tough and durable electronics are a necessity.

Some jobs are just more rugged than others. That doesn’t mean they don’t need to use computers, they just need something that can stand up to everything the job can throw at them. The Durabook U11 Tablet is the newest from Durabook, and they’re hoping it can take anything and everything your job can dish out.

Let’s get the general specs out of the way first, because it doesn’t matter how rugged your laptop or tablet is if you aren’t able to complete your necessary duties on the machine. You’ll be able to choose several configurations up to and including an Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB of memory. Storage comes by way of an easily removable SSD for additional security and privacy features. You’ll be looking at an 11.6″ FHD anti-glare and anti-reflective multi-touch touchscreen that works even when wet.

With a name like Durabook, you’d want it to be durable. I’d say that name fits the bill:

Designed for workers who face the most challenging operating environments, the DURABOOK U11 is MIL-STD-810G certified for drop (6’), shock, vibration, rain, dust, sand, humidity, freeze/thaw, high/low temperature (- 4°F ~ 140°F), and temperature shock. The device meets MIL-STD-461G for electromagnetic interference, ANSI 12.12.01 C1D2 for explosive atmosphere, has an IP65 rating, and meets many other key specifications. It’s sealed, fanless design means dust, sand and other small particles are kept out.

You’re also getting pretty impressive security features and a hot-swappable battery as well. The Durabook U11 is geared towards police and military work, where tough and durable electronics are a necessity. That’s not to say you can’t order one if you’re just especially clumsy, or just feel that you need a little bit of extra security and protection on your devices.
