ROCCAT’s new gaming keyboard combines mechanical and membrane technology

When choosing a gaming keyboard, gamers are faced with choosing between standard membrane keys or the more tactile and often clicky sounding mechanical keys. ROCCAT has just introduced the ROCCAT AIMO Membranical gaming keyboard which combines the best of both membrane and mechanical keys with their unique Membranical keys.

“With the Horde AIMO, we wanted to offer the fans of traditional keyboards the best choice in the market, there is no other option that feels as crisp, precise and offers this level of customization,” said ROCCAT CEO René Korte. “The Horde AIMO is one of a kind.”

Featuring a 5.0ms actuation, the lower height Horde AIMO island keys provide up to 44% faster response rate over traditional keyboards. The Membranical keys with their midway travel actuation point provide a precise and responsive keystroke without the clicky sound of a mechanical keyboard. In addition, the island layout also resists dirt for low-maintenance gaming.

In addition, the keyboard also includes quick-fire macro keys, a configurable tuning wheel, and 16.8 million colour multi-zone RGB illumination. The tuning wheel is also compatible with the Windows 10 Dial functionality, further expanding the usability of the keyboard beyond just gaming. Joining the Khan AIMO and the Kone AIMO, ROCCAT’s lighting system reacts to user input for a unique gaming experience.
