Cambridge Audio customers will find even more connectivity on their network players and AV receivers starting today with the addition of TIDAL. The streaming service, which is favored by some audiophiles around the world, will bring CD-quality audio to the 851N, CXN, CXN (V2), CXR120, CXR200, and Stream Magic 6 (V2) devices.
Customers taking advantage of the offer will be able to access TIDAL’s ever-growing catalog of more than 53 million tracks in HiFi sound quality and thousands of expertly curated playlists. To access TIDAL on their players, customers will need to update the firmware on their devices and ensure they have the most up-to-date version of the Cambridge Connect app, which can be downloaded via the App Store on iOS or Play Store on Android.
Commenting on the addition, MD Stuart George said, “We’re excited to bring TIDAL to our products. We know how popular the service is amongst our customers and have heard the requests. We’re proud we’ve been able to deliver. TIDAL is at home with Cambridge Audio.” TIDAL will be available on all new and existing products listed above starting today, April 3rd, following an update to the Cambridge Connect app and network player’s firmware.
This is good news for those of you who own a Cambridge Audio system that is on the compatibility list. For our US readers, Cambridge Audio is a UK company that’s been established since the 60’s and is finally making its way into the US market.
If you’re into high-end audio equipment, they’re worth taking a look at. We’ve reviewed some of their more price friendly speakers and headphones and are hoping to check out one of their audiophile grade systems at some point soon.
