Be the dweeb and save the school with Super Daryl Deluxe

Given the number of games available for gamers these days, it’s a bit tough to stand out. Dan & Gary Games are hoping to do just that with their awkward looking, wacky RPGvania, hand-drawn styled, brawler-style combat game Super Daryl Deluxe. Featuring random and ridiculous humour, gamers take the role of Water Falls High School’s resident dweeb, Daryl Whitelaw.

Daryl Whitelaw, WFHS’s newest student, still has a lot to learn if he wants to survive and more importantly, make friends. Students keep disappearing. The mysterious new principal sits sealed away in his office. Classrooms are on lockdown and rumors fly about the return of the little thing that almost destroyed the world 40 years ago.

With a “mysterious self-help book,” upgrade more than 45 powers for Daryl to unleash on his adversaries. And who knows, maybe you’ll even be able to help Daryl — with his fashionable mullet haircut — become cool in the process!

“All I can do is look at this game and think ‘Oh no what have I done?’” said Gary Porter, Gary of Dan & Gary Games. “Our playtesters said they really like Super Daryl Deluxe, but maybe they were just trying to be nice.”

Super Daryl Deluxe is available in English for $19.99 USD and €19.99 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Check back soon for our full review of the Nintendo Switch version.

What do you think of Super Daryl Deluxe? Is it a game you think you might pick up?
