Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer drops

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is quite obviously a behemoth. If you’re a fan of comic book movies, you’re clearly familiar with their wares. Chances are good you were also helping their latest movie, Avengers: Infinity War, break all kinds of box office records over the weekend. I won’t get into any spoilers here, but after Infinity War, some fans may be in need of a bit of a palate cleanser. Almost like clockwork, Marvel swoops in with the trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp. Without further ado, let’s check out the trailer:

Looks good, keeps the humor from the first movie, gives Paul Rudd a chance to really “grow” into the character (puns completely intended). We get a glimpse at Ghost, the antagonist for the film, and learn that Hank Pym has made some strides into the quantum realm since the last movie. Evangeline Lilly kicks some ass as The Wasp, and it should be fun to see the dynamic between Lilly and Rudd as they begin working together.

What isn’t exactly clear is when this movie takes place. Again, skirting spoilers, it’s somewhat unlikely that this movie takes place after the events of Infinity War, but maybe we’ll just have to wait for the next trailer to get some sort of idea of the timeline we’re looking at.

What do you think about this trailer? Does it pique your interest, or do you need a break from comic book movies? Tell us all about it in the comment section below, or on Google+, Twitter, or Facebook.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be in theaters July 6th, and it looks like it could be exactly what we need after the events of Infinity War.
