Samsung Galaxy owners getting $500 worth of in-app purchases

Here’s something you don’t always see every day. Samsung is offering up $500 of in-app purchases to anyone who owns a Samsung Galaxy mobile device. The only catch behind this is that you will need to have one of these selected devices: the Galaxy S8 family, Galaxy S9 family, Note 8, or any other major Samsung flagship phone going as far back to those who may still have the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy Tab S2 back from 2015.

If you’re wondering how to get to this promo, you will need to head over to the Galaxy App Store and click on the present box to bring up another screen. From the next screen, click on “Exclusive Game Offers” and go from there. Each game is free, but as to how the in-app purchases work is pretty self-explanatory. Each game will show you what the in-app purchase is for. An example would be playing Forge of Empires and getting 700 diamonds, which is worth $12USD. Another example is downloading Doctor Who: Legacy and getting the gift: 5 Time Crystals, 4 doctors, 3 costumes, 2 allies, and 1 extra item slot all worth $20USD.

I don’t believe any other OEM has had an offer like this in the past but, of course, they also don’t have their own app store like Samsung does (most rely on Google Play). Either way, Samsung is trying to draw more people to their own app store and this is a perfect chance. The promo started back on May 1st and will continue until May 16th, so those who have the aforementioned devices have enough time to look into what Samsung is offering.

What do you guys think about Samsung offering $500 worth of app purchases? Are any of you gals and guys going to check and see what games Samsung has? Let us know by leaving your comments down below, or on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.
