We’re familiar with SCOSCHE products here at Techaeris, the SCOSCHE BoomBottle H20 being one of them. The H20 was a nice rugged speaker but now it’s time to move on to the SCOSCHE BoomBottle MM. This iteration looks to be much slimmer and offers some utility along with Bluetooth sound.
SCOSCHE has added its MagicMount system to the top of the BoomBottle MM. This allows you to mount your smartphone to the top of the speaker keeping the speaker and phone together. That could come in handy in an outdoor environment. The bottom of the BoomBottle MM is magnetic, allowing it to stick to metal surfaces.
Probably one of the more novel ideas built into the SCOSCHE BoomBottle MM is the bottle opener. Perfect for those outdoor excursions when you need to crack open a cold beverage of your choice.
But what about the sound? This is, after all, a speaker. The BoomBottle MM has two 6W speakers and two 40mm passive radiators which SCOSCHE claims will provide crisp highs and deep bass. The BoomBottle MM also has an auto-sensing indoor/outdoor EQ. The EQ will attempt to give the user the best sound indoors or out.
Of course, since this is a rugged speaker, all of the normal rugged bits apply. The speaker is IP67 rated dust and waterproof. It’s also been military drop tested so should stand up to decent drops and spills. The controls and ports are all nicely covered and secure. SCOSCHE also built in dual-pairing to this speaker meaning that you can pair two of these together for a more robust soundstage, which is always a nice feature. You’ll also get 12-hours of playback time on a full charge.
The SCOSCHE BoomBottle is available now at Costo.com and select Costco stores. You’ll have to visit Costco for pricing as members will get a different price. The MSRP is $129.99USD and non-Costco members will be able to purchase it in June at SCOSCHE.com.
