If you’re looking for a way to combine sunglasses, bone conduction headphones, and Siri or Google Assistant into one package, then ZUNGLE is one consideration. This is the company’s second version of this product and the first we’ve heard of it. The sunglasses have new “Vibra speakers” with stronger dual-spring bone conduction drivers on each leg. The new sound system was developed through a partnership with a speaker manufacturer who works with companies like Samsung and Sony.

Part of the appeal of the ZUNGLE device is the “open ear solution.” Because these are using bone conduction technology, it allows the user to listen to music yet maintain situational awareness. The glasses also sport Bluetooth 5.0 which should maintain a better connection with your Android or iPhone. Of course, there’s also your AI assistants and the ability to make phone calls.

The company is offering the device in two different designs. The square-shaped Viper model and the round-shaped Lynx model. The frames are also designed to be interchangeable and the company plans on making more frames in the future. They also plan on a subscription plan for trying new frame designs as they come out.

Earning revenues about $8M in 2017, ZUNGLE expects to achieve $20M this year. Founded in 2016, as an LA-based startup, ZUNGLE began with a motto of creating a wearable device that’s actually wearable. ZUNGLE has worked ambitiously to incorporate customers’ honest feedback on its new products.
