After a pretty smooth month after Turn 10 Studios brought the #Forzathon system in-house, we’re back for the first event of the month. The Forza Motorsport 7 #Forzathon July 6-12th event lets you snag a BMW 1 Series M Coupe, Ford SVT Cobra R FE (Forza Edition), and some new Driver Gear. This #Forzathon event started today at 10:00 a.m. PT and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on July 12th.

Check out the complete challenge list and rewards below for the newly added challenges.

  • Morning Jog: Complete the Challenge to receive the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe
    • Complete 5 Laps in a Sport Coupe division car
  • Wet Asphalt: Complete both Challenges to receive the 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R Forza Edition
    • Win a Race at Top Gear Full Circuit in the Rain
    • Complete 3 Laps at Sebring Club Circuit in the Rain
  • Long Nights: Complete all Challenges to receive the Happy Trails Driver Gear
    • Win a Race in a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan at night
    • Complete 2 Laps at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in a 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt at night
    • Win a Race at Virginia International Raceway in a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 at Night

As with previous #Forzathon events, these can be completed in Free Play mode and setting the number of Drivatars to 0 to guarantee a win.

Morning Jog

Once in Free Play mode, select Long Beach West Route (0.45 miles/0.72 km) or Rio Mini Circuit (0.68 miles/1.09 km), set the race to 5 laps, hop in your favourite Sport Coupe division car car and complete the race to get your 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe.

Wet Asphalt

For the first challenge in this set, set the track to Top Gear Full Circuit, choose Rain, select Timed Race, set it to 30 seconds, and away you go. Once that’s out of the way, switch over to the Sebring Club Circuit, set it to Rain, Circuit Race, 3 laps, and finish the race. Once complete, you’ll have your shiny new 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R Forza Edition.

Long Nights

To start his challenge set off, select any night track (Circuit of the Americas is one), Timed Race, 30 seconds, making sure to set it to Night, and hop in the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan. If you don’t own the CTS-V, you can rent it or purchase it for 97,000 CR. Once the timer runs out, you’ll be on to the next challenge. Next, change the track to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, set it to a Circuit Race at Night, 2 laps, and hop into a rented or newly purchased (76,000 CR) 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt to complete the second challenge.

Finally, switch the track to Virginia International Raceway, set it back to Time Race, 30 seconds, Night, and hop in the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 (140,000 CR if you don’t own it and want to purchase it instead of renting), let the timer run out and you’ll snag the Happy Trails Driver Gear.

Combining Challenges

Th only real spot for doubling up is with the Sebring Club Circuit. Finish the three laps in a Sport Coupe Division car and then do two laps in Long Beach West or Rio Mini Circuit to finish Morning Jog and save a bit of time.

All said and done, it really shouldn’t take you more than 20-30 minutes from start to finish… personally, I’d like to see more challenge in these “challenges.” What about you?

What do you think about the changes to the Forza Motorsport 7 #Forzathon events and the vehicles and Driver Gear up for grabs this week? Are the tasks too easy? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+Twitter, or Facebook.
