The Forza Motorsport 7 #Forzathon July 13-19th event lets you snag a 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport, and some new Driver Gear. This #Forzathon event started July 13th at 10:00 a.m. PT and closes at 11:59 p.m. PT on July 12th so you have into the wee hours of July 13th (depending on your time zone) to finish the challenges and snag the rewards.

Check out the complete challenge list and rewards below for the newly added challenges.

  • Welcome Racing Fans: Complete the Challenge to receive the 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV
    • Complete a Race at Bathurst (Mount Panorama)
  • Australian Legends: Complete both Challenges to receive the Grease Monkey Driver Gear
    • Win a Race in a 1977 Holden Torana A9X
    • Complete 4 laps in a Supercars Championship division car
  • Party in the AUS: Complete all Challenges to receive the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport
    • Win a Race in a 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT
    • Complete a Race at Bathurst (Mount Panorama) in a 1965 MINI Cooper S
    • Win a Race in a C Class car

As with previous #Forzathon events, these can be completed in Free Play mode and setting the number of Drivatars to 0 to guarantee a win. Unless otherwise specified, set the race to a Timed Race for 30 seconds and let the timer run out to complete/win the race.

Welcome Racing Fans

Once you’re in Free Play mode, change the circuit to Bathurst (Mount Panorama), and start the race. Once the timer runs out, you should get your 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV.

Australian Legends

Select any track, hop into the 1977 Holden Torana A9X (or rent or buy it for 69,000 CR if you don’t own it), and let the timer run out. Next up, set the track to Long Beach West Route (0.45 miles/0.72 km) or Rio Mini Circuit (0.68 miles/1.09 km), 4 laps, 0 Drivatars, and complete the race in a Supercars Championship division car. Once done, you’ll be able to don your new Grease Monkey Driver Gear.

Party in the AUS

Pick any track, hop in the 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT (or rent or buy it for 33,500 CR if you don’t own it), and let the timer run out. Next, head back to Bathurst, hop in the 1965 MINI Cooper S (rent or purchase for 31,000 CR), and let the timer run out. Finally, hop into a C Class car, let the timer run out and voila! A brand new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport will be delivered to your garage.

Combining Challenges

Fortunately, a couple of the challenges this week can be combined. I started off by using the 1977 Holden Torana A9X at Bathurst (Timed Race, 30 seconds, no Drivatars). This completed Welcome Racing Fans and advanced Australian Legends. Alternatively, you can use the 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT instead to complete the first challenge and advance Party in the AUS. Or you can start by winning a race in the Falcon XR GT and then complete Welcome Racing Fans by racing the 1965 MINI Cooper S at Bathurst. Either way, you’re nailing two challenges at once.

All said and done, it really shouldn’t take you more than 20-30 minutes from start to finish… personally, I’d like to see more challenge in these “challenges.” What about you?

What do you think about the changes to the Forza Motorsport 7 #Forzathon events and the vehicles and Driver Gear up for grabs this week? Are the tasks too easy? Let us know in the comments below or on Google+Twitter, or Facebook.
