T-Mobile will be OnePlus’ first US carrier to offer the OnePlus 6T

The next iteration of the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T, will be out in October according to CNET. The catch is, though, that the new OnePlus 6T should be coming to US cell phone carrier T-Mobile making it the first phone company, or at least here in the states to offer a OnePlus device for purchase instead of buying it online.

The cost for the OnePlus 6T will go up to around $550 for the new phone, a small bump up from the current price of $530 for the OnePlus 6. That being said, the updated device should offer a little bit of a bump up in specs too.

The OnePlus 6T is already compatible with T-Mobiles network but the phone will be optimized to run on the 600MHz network. This will offer more signal from far away towers and better signal through buildings. Of course, the non-T-Mobile version of the handset will still work on T-Mobile and AT&T networks but the carrier specific one should offer a better signal. Unfortunately, the OnePlus 6T available for purchase from OnePlus will not work with Sprint and Verizon networks.

If this turns out to be true, then a lot of people who want the OnePlus 6T and already have T-Mobile are going to be happy. They won’t have to purchase it directly from OnePlus and wait for the phone to ship out. Right now, it’s just a matter of waiting to see if the phone will meet T-Mobile’s certification and approval. If anything doesn’t get approved, that will, of course, cause delays for launching on the carrier.
