During a special edition of Inside Xbox broadcast from gamescom 2018 in Germany, Xbox announced that Halo: MCC will be joining the Xbox Game Pass service in September.

Some of the enhancements for Halo: The Master Chief Collection have been in development for some time now and will be available on September 1st. With updates like 4K UHD support for the Xbox One X, customizable installation options, and faster load times, it’s a great time to jump back into some Halo action with Master Chief.

In addition, a new Xbox Game Pass beta app for both Android and iOS is now available. The new app allows Game Pass members to browse games currently in the service and install them on your Xbox One console from your mobile device. While Android users can install the beta app today, iOS users will have to sign up and will be notified through TestFlight if selected due to the limited number of available slots for beta testing.

If you aren’t already an Xbox Game Pass member, if you sign up before August 31st, you can get your first month for $2USD and get a second month free. During the same time, new members can also get two months of Xbox Live Gold for a mere $2.
