Lucid dreaming goes high-tech with InstaDreamer wristband

, ,

Lucid dreaming, if you’re unaware, is a technique of recognizing you are dreaming and, as a result, gain control over characters, the environment, and even the story of your dream. There are many different ways and techniques to train yourself to be able to experience lucid dreams and one company is using technology and Pavlovian Conditioning to help you get there faster.

InstaDreamer uses VibraSmart technology that sends gentle vibrations throughout the day and night to condition the wearer to be more receptive to lucid dreaming. So just how does it work? The InstaDreamer Indiegogo page has a simple explanation.

How does it work in a nutshell?

Day mode: It vibrates during the day (you decide how often), reminding you to perform a reality check (using the power of Pavlovian Conditioning proven scientific theory). Since you’re not in a dream, nothing happens.

Night mode: It accurately detects your REM phases during the night, vibrating at the best moment of your dream (you decide how strongly) to instantly trigger a lucid dream by activating the conditioning. Since you are in a dream, you will realize that you are dreaming and be able to take full control instantly, allowing you to experience whatever you want to.

The fully adjustable, lightweight, medical grade silicon band also doubles as a health and sleep tracker. It tracks the wearer’s pulse, body temperature, and body movements while sleeping. After analyzing the wearer’s sleep cycles, the silent alarm wakes the user at an optimal time in their sleep cycle to allow for a more refreshed waking up experience.

InstaDreamer has an anticipated ship date of February 2019 and can be pre-ordered through the Indiegogo InDemand program for a discounted rate of $199USD.
