At last, it looks like Samsung is finally releasing more details about its foldable smartphone: the Galaxy F. The latest rumor is that it could be out later this year, most likely in November when Samsung holds its Samsung Developer Conference. A folding smartphone would, of course, change the way we see our mobile devices today.
Current rumors about the “Galaxy F” tell us that the display would fold like a book vertically. New rumors of the device give us a bit more detail on specs, such as the screen size will feature a 7.3″ OLED display. Of course, this display would be directly from Samsung and will also feature a 1.5R curvature. As for the display when it’s being used as a normal device, the display will be a 4.6-inch flexible OLED display. Supposed production of these displays will range from 150,000 to 180,000 per month in case there are any issues that may cause delays. The code name for the Galaxy F is “Winner.”— a naming scheme Samsung must think is pretty clever
You folks already know how it is with stuff like this. It’s not official until an OEM has some form of an unveiling, so we’ll keep it that way until Samsung shows off the device. Plus, if the device does come out this year, we’re bound to hear more and more rumors before the device is actually announced.
