If you didn’t know already, Samsung acquired AKG some time ago. The company has been bundling AKG earbuds in with its Galaxy phones and now they’re announcing a new series of AKG wireless headphones. This new series of AKG wireless headphones is a first for the U.S. market and from the looks of them, they’re certainly sleek. Samsung says these AKG wireless headphones are geared to those who want an un-tethered listening experience with studio quality sound. The new series consists of three different models.
The AKG Y100s are a pair of light and durable in-ears which Samsung says deliver crisp clean sounds and also have the Ambient Aware feature built-in. Ambient Aware allows users to close themselves off from the world with their music or allow some of the outside world in so they’re not super distracted. These in-ears will cost you $99.95USD and are available now.
The AKG Y500s are also wireless but on-ear headphones. These headphones feature Multi-point connectivity which allows users to pair two connected Bluetooth devices at the same time. Samsung says the Y500s have extended battery life which can last up to 33-hours on a single charge. These on-ears will set you back $149.95USD and are available now.
The AKG N700NC is the top of the AKG wireless headphones line. Samsung says they’re using award-winning sound technology for these babies. These over-ear headphones feature adaptive noise canceling which gives consumers the ability to control how much surrounding noise they let in. This allows users to optimize their listening experience plus the N700NCs get up to 20-hours of battery life on a single charge. These over-ears will cost you $349.95USD and will be available later this year.
